Kuspuk School District educators proudly participated in the 2026 Alaska Science of Reading Symposium, held May 1–3, 2026, at the Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center in Anchorage, Alaska. The event, centered on the theme “Continuing the Climb: Evidence, Effort, Impact,” brought together educators from across the state to advance literacy through research-based instruction.
Throughout the symposium, participants engaged in sessions focused on the Science of Reading, including structured literacy approaches, data-informed instruction, and strategies to support diverse learners. The experience provided valuable opportunities for collaboration, professional growth, and the exchange of best practices with educators and literacy experts.
This participation reflects Kuspuk School District’s continued commitment to strengthening literacy instruction and ensuring all students have access to high-quality, evidence-based teaching. The strategies and insights gained will be applied across classrooms to support improved reading outcomes and student success.
By investing in ongoing professional learning, Kuspuk educators continue to build strong foundations for literacy and student achievement across the district.
