Kuspuk School District educators had the opportunity to attend the 2026 Annual Visible Learning® Conference, held July 13–18 in Nashville, Tennessee!
Representing Kuspuk School District were Janin Barruga, 3rd Grade Teacher at Zackar Levi Elementary School; King Barruga, 4th grade and Lead Teacher at ZLES; Emily Vanderpool, Director of Curriculum & Instruction; and Severin Gardner, Director of Support Services.
Throughout the conference, they connected with educators from across the country, met authors of curriculum resources currently being used in our district, and gained a deeper understanding of the latest research and evidence-based practices that support student learning and development.
A special congratulations to Janin Barruga, who placed 2nd out of more than 1,600 participants in the Corwin Games! Her achievement earned $300 worth of books to add to our professional learning resources.
We are grateful for opportunities like this that allow our educators and leaders to learn, collaborate, and bring valuable knowledge and strategies back to our schools and students.
