This website is dedicated to a collection of scholarships that are available to graduates of Kuspuk School District.
The KSD Board of Directors Scholarship came into being in 2007. Each year, all KSD Alumni may apply for a scholarship to assist them with their post-secondary plans and careers.

There are two pages to this application and all parts must be completed in order to have your application considered by the School Board.
For Spring 2025, your application must be completed and submitted by January 10, 2025. Spring 2025 scholarships are open only to graduates of prior academic years.
For Fall 2025, your application must be completed and submitted by May 30, 2025. Fall 2025 scholarships are open to both graduates and current Seniors scheduled to graduate from a KSD school in May 2025.

The Alaska Travel Industry Association (ATIA) Foundation is now accepting applications for its 2026 Education Scholarship Program — an incredible opportunity for Alaskan students interested in careers connected to the tourism and travel industry.
The ATIA Foundation Scholarship offers one-year awards to students who are enrolled in or plan to enroll in a program of study related to tourism, hospitality, or travel. Eligible applicants include both high school and college students across Alaska.
Since 2001, the Foundation has awarded over $335,000 in scholarships to more than 160 individuals from communities throughout Alaska — from Ketchikan to Nome, Kodiak to Tok, and even remote locations such as Unalakleet and Nightmute. In 2025 alone, ATIA awarded $37,000 in scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $4,000 to students representing 14 different communities statewide.

Scholarship Amounts: $1,000–$4,000 (varies based on donor requirements)
Eligibility: High school or college students pursuing studies related to Alaska’s tourism and travel industries
Selection Criteria: Based on donor preferences, including field of study, sector, prior tourism experience, and geographic area

The Coalition for Education Equity offers two new Spike Jorgensen Scholarships eachyear. Scholarships are $1,000 per year, renewable for up to four years total.
Scholarships are awarded based on a short personal essay and letters ofrecommendation – not on GPA – and can be used at any in-state or out-of-state collegeor trade school.The scholarship honors Dr. Spike Jorgensen, who fought for many years to improvefacilities and school programs in rural Alaska as a founder and executive director of CEE(formerly CEAAC).
The Alaska Performance Scholarship (APS) is Alaska's merit-based scholarship program, awarding eligible students up to $28,000 total towards their postsecondary education. To qualify for APS, Alaska high school students must complete a specific rigorous high school curriculum and meet either a minimum GPA or minimum standardized test score.
