I began working for the district in 1996 as a secondary teacher (primarily math) / school counselor in Aniak. I moved to Student Services Coordinator at the district office in 1998. My duties primarily consisted of a role as school counselor / intensive program director and other administrative duties. I eventually became assistant superintendent and Interim superintendent in 2016. I retired in 2019. Since 2021, I have been working part time for the school district in the role of Assistant to the Federal Programs Director. I also coordinate the "Math Science Expedition", and the "George River Internship" summer programs. I also coordinate the "Academic Decathlon"
