Teaching isn't just what I do – it's who I am. As the saying goes, it's a noble profession, and I couldn't agree more. While it may not be the highest-paying job, it's incredibly rewarding and truly fulfilling for me. I'm Arthur Balala, Principal Teacher at Johnnie John Sr. School in the Crooked Creek village community. With my 21 fruitful teaching experience in education – 16 years in the Philippines and 5 years serving Kuspuk School District – I'm excited to lead our school and teach our talented K-5 students. I look forward to working with our students, families, and staff to make this a successful year! My educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, which I completed in 2005, followed by a Master's degree in Education in 2011, and culminating in a Doctor of Philosophy in 2018. I was honored as the Outstanding Public School Teacher in the Province of La Union and recognized as a Regional Qualifier for the esteemed Metrobank Search for Outstanding Teachers in the Philippines. As a Division Curriculum Developer, Module Writer, and Evaluator, I've made impactful contributions that have elevated educational standards. In my free time, I love cooking up a storm, decorating my space, belting out my favorite tunes, dancing to the beat, and smashing it on the badminton court!
