Special Education Department Overview:

The purpose of special education is to enable students with disabilities to access the general education curriculum to the greatest extent possible by providing a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) in compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). We are dedicated to providing services for children ages 3-21 who have been identified as requiring special education.

  • Provides screening to identify educational or physical needs which must be addressed to enable the child to fully benefit from an educational program.
