Home Internet Access is relatively new to the Kuspuk School District region as a whole. Many homes still do not have Internet access at home. School Internet Access began with E-Rate funds prior to 2000. Students and parents and students may need extra assistance in understanding risks associated with Internet Use.
Currently cyberbullying that is brought to staff attention is seen mostly between students via email.
By and large, Kuspuk School District students have very little city experience. They are used to knowing almost everyone in their village and being able to trust others in many ways. It may be difficult for students to understand the risks of interacting with strangers online. The concepts of false identities, phishing, and scams may need extra explanation and attention.
