Dear Parents/Guardians of Gusty Michael School Students,
I apologize for the disruption that has occurred to our school year. By state mandate, schools
in Alaska are to be closed until at least May 1.
- During this time, however, weekly work packets in English, Math, Social Studies, and Science will be delivered to each student to work on.
- I will arrange for making a daily phone check-in with each family to go over any questions that students and/or parents/guardians might have.
- Students are welcome to call me at 218-417-0983 Monday - Friday at any time between 8 am and 4 pm with questions.
- The packets should arrive soon on the Mail Plane to the village.
We all look forward to the time when the virus subsides and life can return to some sort of
normal. Until then, we will continue on with education in the best way possible. I look
forward to communicating with all of you as we begin our remote education. Hopefully,
conditions will improve and we can have “regular” school beginning again after May 1.
In the meantime, stay safe,
